When our friend Solomon mentioned that Kevin Kinsella was going to be recording with Christafari I knew I had to somehow make our way over there. The Album Among Us by John Brown’s Body has been on auto rotation several times in our Van for the last few years. When the kids found out we were going to visit “the guy” from the CD, they were like, “Really?”– as if they couldn’t believe Mom was telling the truth. I love surprising my kids last minute. Kevin was super friendly and totally casual. Him and Mark were effortlessly laying down tracks. I can’t wait to hear the final product that they come up with for the next Christafari album.

I always thought he was half black and half white. When I met him, I was like, “What? Who is this?”. The title “John Brown’s Body” and his voice always made me think so.
