I’ve been wanting to photograph Maka for a while. I finally got my chance when we were in Maui, her homeland. It was not easy finding time to photograph. She was either busy filming a video with Christafari, spending coveted time with her family, or it was raining. I had some time to take a few shots while they filmed their backwards video. But finally, their last day, we had 1 hour to take pictures while it was raining. Luckily, days ago I had found a shelter of trees that shielded us and my cameras from most of the rain.
