Anderson Family

When Melanie booked her family lifestyle session we considered a few locations,  but she felt like downtown Hermosa Beach fit her family the most.  That’s one thing I love about Melanie’s vision– to have her pictures as honest as they are as a family.  Not only did the old town meets new beach city atmosphere suit them, but Johnny Anderson’s (the husband and proud father) owns Yer Cheat’n Heart Tatoo parlour in the heart of downtown.  What a reflective and meaningful place for them to have their session in!  Seriously,   this family of 7 will probably be one of the most memorable families you will ever meet.  The Andersons are truly down to earth, real, full of love for one another,  and have a heart for all people.

Just a few years ago I captured the Anderson Family in 2015 for a lifestyle session in their home.  Now that baby  Clementine was a toddler, it was nice  to photograph outdoors where she could walk around a bit.   We met up early in the morning during a Summer weekday while the  So Cal weather was fair and warm.   Toddling around in her moccasin soft shoes and boho romper, Clementine was more happy to be on the ground then off it.  Johnny, the oldest son, showed off his yoyo skills, while Oliver rode on his skateboard.  Mia, the teenager and oldest  helped with her baby sister Clementine.  Towards the end of the session, the family ate some brunch at the iconic Good Stuff on the Strand before Johnny headed of to work.
