I had the opportunity to attend the Film and Flora workshop hosted by photographer Michael Radford and florist Tinge (Ashley Beyer) in May. How could I pass up a workshop containing 3 of my favorite things: film, flowers, and lovely gowns designed by Emily Riggs Bridal — all on the beautiful property of Rose Story Farm in Santa Barbara! I had such a great time meeting talented photographers and collaborating with upcoming and established florists. Mike and Ashley were wonderful hosts– warm and friendly with a wealth of information. For photographers, Mike taught the inns and outs of using film during a wedding and personal work, while Ashley shared the basics of floral design and styling. We learned the importance of having conviction in our craft and growing a business in the right way. My favorite part was photographing the beautiful creations by Emily Riggs while collaborating with the florist I was paired with– Fine delicate lace and flowing soft sheer fabric gowns, paired with vintage silk ribbon with raw edges draped over rose petals and peonies. How Romantic…
